This was my favourite book of last year, and it remains incredibly important to me.
This quote from Noah Sweetwine always makes me smile, as do so many of Noah’s descriptions – Noah has a unique perspective on the world, an artist’s perspective, and he lives so strongly in each moment of his life. In the prologue of the book Jandy Nelson describes him as a flood in a paper cup, which I think is perfect. I adore how Noah describes people, how viscerally he experiences his interpersonal relationships, and I think this quote is a brilliant expression of that.
