How wonderful it is that nobody need wait a moment before starting to improve the world.
Some days, it seems like there’s nothing but bad news, and this is something I like to remember.
The concept of improving the world is what I try to hold to as a driving principal, because the applications to it are so broad – how you feel you are improving the world can range from the individual – doing nice things for other people – to the collective – getting involved in activism and politics, broad-scale changes that hopefully improve things for millions. Improving the world might mean reading a book. It might mean making dinner. It might mean making a speech, or going to work every day.
Improving the world is a metric I hope to live my life by, however small.
